The Miracles Asia Admission Process

Admission Begins with an Evaluation

At Miracles Asia our admissions process is guaranteed to be as stress-free as possible to help you or your loved one in the transition from active addiction to recovery.

If you or your loved one are experiencing problems with substance abuse or behavioral compulsions, together we can figure out the problem and find the solution.

The therapeutic process begins with a free call to one of our admission specialists.

The communication will be totally private and confidential. Your journey back to living a full and healthy life starts from there.

By contacting us and asking for help, you have already taken a huge step in overcoming your addiction.

Admission to a treatment center begins with an evaluation of your medical and treatment needs to ensure that everything is ready for your stay and to ensure that the best treatment plan and services are prepared prior to your admission.

Our admission specialists can assist you with a scheduled evaluation with us that is absolutely free of charge.

With our streamlined admissions process, you and your family will be taken care of every step of the way.

Admitting to a rehab doesn’t need to be overwhelming; in fact, many of Miracles Asia staff are in recovery themselves, so they fully understand what you or your loved one is going through and are committed to making things as simple and stress-free as possible for all involved.

“We are a professional couple, who had issues around alcohol and relationships. We were able to address these issues in complete private, outside of the normal facilities. Miracles Asia provided us with private beautiful accommodation, full service staff and brought in a specialist counselor from America just for us. Everything was as promised.”

Start Admission to a Rehab

If our intake specialist and you decide that you or a loved one would benefit from a residential rehab, we will schedule the time and date when you or your loved ones can start. Then all you need to do is book your flights to get here.

You will be personally picked up off the aeroplane walkway and taken through a special visa and customs lane. The VIP concierge will then take you directly to our waiting car.

After you arrive at our luxury villa on the beautiful tropical island of Phuket in Thailand, our staff will go over some simple paperwork and we will show you around Miracles Asia’s comfortable facility and help you settle in.

If necessary and you were to arrive very drunk and we feel that you need medically supervised detox you might spend your first night or two in one of our partner hospitals, where their medical teams will make sure you’re medically stable and comfortable.

During this time our own staff members will remain with you during this time.

Our staff at Miracles Asia can help you navigate all visa and flight details. We are here to help, especially in these days of Coronavirus.

The Success of Miracles Asia’s Treatment Services

You will get your best shot at living a life that is drug-free when you engage with our program.

This consists of one month living as a residential guest followed by our two-month outpatient program.

During your follow-up assessment, you will be asked more detailed questions that help determine what services best meet your clinical needs.

We might ask to contact other medical and mental health professionals who you’ve worked with in the past to best understand your particular needs.

If you agree, this may also include family, friends, and loved ones who can assist with details and background for your personal situation.

If you opt for receiving our virtual services instead of coming to our residential treatment program, you’ll be instructed on how to properly navigate the use of our virtual treatment platform.

Perhaps you don’t need to come to a residential program, and an outpatient course will suffice. If this is the case, click here for more details of our outpatient treatment, or online programs www.miraclesathome.online

If we recommend residential treatment services, you will be given an individualized treatment plan that may offer:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Individual therapeutics
  • Comprehensive behavioral evaluation
  • Group therapy
  • Medication coordination
  • Referrals for education and support services.

Preparing for Admission into a Treatment Center

It’s important that you let friends and family know of your decision before you start the admission process to an addiction treatment center.

By doing this you’ll be able to share your news before people you care about hear it through the grapevine.

However, it’s up to you to decide whether to tell them, or simply keep your privacy and explain that you’ll be away for a while.

By letting others know, you’ll be able to ask for help to watch your home, or assistance with your finances.

Asking for help is a great way to keep people you care about involved in your big change, as they won’t necessarily be present throughout your rehabilitation.

Tie up any loose ends at home. Get everything ready for your absence by making sure that your finances and bills will be kept up to date.

This includes utilities, rent, and loans. If necessary, alert your landlord or neighbors that you will be away for an extended time.

Also, find trustworthy care or boarding for any pets and plants that you have.

Communicate your intent to the rehab center of your choice.

When you have made a decision on the facility you want to go to, contact the rehab and make arrangements for getting your treatment underway.

Remember to discuss the date of arrival, rules about what you may or may not bring with you, and any remaining questions you might have about the duration of your stay, finances, and visitation once you’re there.

Find out if you can have visitors and how often the rehab permits its residents to contact their loved ones.

Some centers will prefer that you do not contact people in your life during part or all of your initial stay so that you can be totally focused on the rehab program.

Accept the situation.

Look within yourself and honestly ask why it is that you’re going to rehab.

Make sure that you don’t waste your time and money by checking into a rehab program without being fully committed to recovery and ongoing sobriety.

Outline on paper or mentally rehearse your goals for yourself.

What do you hope to gain from treatment? Is there anything that you are not willing to do for your recovery?

Don’t get too worried if you feel very anxious and overwhelmed. These feelings are to be expected.

Try to acknowledge the anxiety that you feel, sit with it for a while, and then continue to move forward, knowing that it’s there and that there’s nothing wrong with that.

Invite change.

Admission to a rehab in Thailand might seem challenging, so be prepared to open up to a different side of yourself, spiritually and emotionally, that you may not be very familiar with.

Admission to an addiction treatment center requires you put your heart into it and deeply desire the change it will bring, even if it means letting go of your old ways of dealing with life in a new way.

Expect that there will be stretches of time at the treatment center when you will feel sad or alone, and keep in mind that faith in your own healing will give you the positivity to overcome these feelings.

Remember to keep your expectations in check.

While you’ve made a great decision to overhaul your life and kick your addiction, the rehabilitation process can be gradual and can often seem quite daunting.

Checking Into Rehab

When you start admission into a treatment center in Thailand, leave forbidden items at home.

Although all rehab centers vary regarding things you can and can’t bring with you, there are many common items that are not allowed.

The following should be left behind unless you are explicitly told otherwise by a staff member at your chosen rehab center:

  • Alcohol and other drugs (even mouthwash that contains alcohol)
  • Pornography
  • Weapons (including razor blades)
  • Musical instruments
  • Outside food, drink, herbal products, and vitamins
  • Excessive makeup, jewelry, and offensive or revealing clothing
  • Organic substances of any kind.

Essential Items You CAN Bring

  • Prescription medication (will be kept with the staff)
  • Photos, books, and other personal mementos
  • Casual clothing – Phuket, Thailand is a tropical island, so shorts, T-Shirts, Polo style shirts, loose fitting clothing are the most comfortable. There is no need for very formal attire.
  • Tennis shoes and open toe sandals, flip-flops, casual.
  • Gym clothing – what you would wear to the gym for exercise. Miracles Asia has a partnership with a 5-star exercise facility that includes olympic swimming pool, tennis courts, free weights, cardio machines, wet and dry sauna, hot and cold plunge pools, and cafe.
  • Hygiene items (including electric razors). There are stores close by in case you forget something.
  • Smartphone, personal laptop, smartpad – you will have time to contact friends and family as well as leisure time to watch your favorite content or listen to music.
    Some cash.
Admission to rehab in Thailand might have slightly different rules and expectations, so always call the center beforehand and don’t be afraid to ask if you need to know what is, or is not, allowed.
