Admission to a treatment center begins with an evaluation of your medical and treatment needs to ensure that everything is ready for your stay and to ensure that the best treatment plan and services are prepared prior to your admission. Our admission specialists can assist you with a scheduled evaluation with us that is absolutely free of charge. With our streamlined admissions process, you and your family will be taken care of every step of the way.

Admitting to a rehab doesn’t need to be overwhelming; in fact, many of Miracles Asia staff are in recovery themselves, so they fully understand what you or your loved one is going through and are committed to making things as simple and stress-free as possible for all involved.

If our intake specialist and you decide that you or a loved one would benefit from a residential rehab, we will schedule the time and date when you or your loved ones can start. Then all you need to do is book your flights to get here.

You will be personally picked up off the tarmac and taken through a special visa and customs lane. The VIP concierge will then take you directly to our waiting car. After you arrive at our luxury villa on the beautiful tropical island of Phuket in Thailand, our staff will go over some simple paperwork and we will show you around Miracles Asia’s comfortable facility and help you settle in.

If necessary and you were to arrive very drunk and we feel that you need medically supervised detox you might spend your first night or two in one of our partner hospitals, where their medical teams will make sure you’re medically stable and comfortable.

During this time our own staff members will remain with you during this time. Our staff at Miracles Asia can help you navigate all visa and flight details. We are here to help, especially in these days of Coronavirus. 

You will get your best shot at living a life that is drug-free when you engage with our program. This consists of one month living as a residential guest followed by our two-month outpatient program.

During your follow-up assessment, you will be asked more detailed questions that help determine what services best meet your clinical needs. We might ask to contact other medical and mental health professionals who you’ve worked with in the past to best understand your particular needs.

If you agree, this may also include family, friends, and loved ones who can assist with details and background for your personal situation. If you opt for receiving our virtual services instead of coming to our residential treatment program, you’ll be instructed on how to properly navigate the use of our virtual treatment platform.

It’s important that you let friends and family know of your decision before you start the admission process to an addiction treatment center. By doing this you’ll be able to share your news before people you care about hear it through the grapevine.

However, it’s up to you to decide whether to tell them, or simply keep your privacy and explain that you’ll be away for a while. By letting others know, you’ll be able to ask for help to watch your home, or assistance with your finances.

Asking for help is a great way to keep people you care about involved in your big change, as they won’t necessarily be present throughout your rehabilitation. Tie up any loose ends at home. Get everything ready for your absence by making sure that your finances and bills will be kept up to date.

This includes utilities, rent, and loans. If necessary, alert your landlord or neighbors that you will be away for an extended time. Also, find trustworthy care or boarding for any pets and plants that you have.

Look within yourself and honestly ask why it is that you’re going to rehab. Make sure that you don’t waste your time and money by checking into a rehab program without being fully committed to recovery and ongoing sobriety.

Outline on paper or mentally rehearse your goals for yourself. What do you hope to gain from treatment? Is there anything that you are not willing to do for your recovery?

Don’t get too worried if you feel very anxious and overwhelmed. These feelings are to be expected. Try to acknowledge the anxiety that you feel, sit with it for a while, and then continue to move forward, knowing that it’s there and that there’s nothing wrong with that.

Admission to a rehab in Thailand might seem challenging, so be prepared to open up to a different side of yourself, spiritually and emotionally, that you may not be very familiar with.

Admission to an addiction treatment center requires you put your heart into it and deeply desire the change it will bring, even if it means letting go of your old ways of dealing with life in a new way.

Expect that there will be stretches of time at the treatment center when you will feel sad or alone, and keep in mind that faith in your own healing will give you the positivity to overcome these feelings.
